Leach's Petrel  Oceanodroma leucorhoa

The Leach's Petrel is a rare, mainly storm-driven, autumn visitor to the island. Records are barely annual, although occasional large 'wrecks', such as those in October 1952 and December 1989, have provided counts of up to 400 in the waters around the island.
