Western Bonelli's Warbler   Phylloscopus bonelli



There have been four records of Western Bonelli's Warbler at Portland:

 

            The occurrences of Western Bonelli's Warbler at Portland

1976 - August 13th to September 3rd, a first-winter bird found in the Observatory garden, where it was trapped and ringed on August 14th. Subsequently it took up residence in the Coastguards gardens.

1972 - September 9th, one at Weston.
1965 - August 10th to 20th, an adult trapped and ringed in the Coastguard gardens at Portland Bill. 
1955 - August 29th, a first-winter bird trapped and ringed at Culverwell.
