24th December Distinctly odd for the time of year was the discovery of Thrift in flower at Ferrybridge today. 3rd December Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 2 Silver Y.

2nd December The bull Grey Seal that has been resident around the coast of the island for many months was close inshore off the East Cliffs at the Bill in the morning. 26th November Red Admirals were on the wing at several sites, and a Painted Lady was seen at Easton. 25th November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 2 White-speck and 1 Udea ferrugalis. 24th November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 1 Dark Sword Grass and 1 Udea ferrugalis. 21st November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 1 Silver Y. 14th November Red Admirals remain on the wing in some numbers and a lone Clouded Yellow was seen at the Windmills. 13th November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 4 Udea ferrugalis, 2 Pearly Underwing and 2 White-speck.

12th November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 4 Udea ferrugalis, 3 Pearly Underwing, 2 Silver Y and 1 Radford's Flame Shoulder. 11th November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 9 Udea ferrugalis and 3 Pearly Underwing. 7th November A new species of fungus for the island - Melastiza cornubiensis - was discovered today at the Bill. 4th November A Monarch was seen briefly in the Obs garden and a lone Clouded Yellow was still on the wing at the Bill. 3rd November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 4 Udea ferrugalis, 3 Dark Sword Grass and 1 Nomophila noctuella. 2nd November Immigrant moths in the Obs garden traps this morning: 8 Udea ferrugalis, 6 Pearly Underwing, 5 Silver Y, 4 Dark Sword Grass and 1 Bloxworth Snout.
